Our unique Wright of Passage program is coming to Newcastle!
The Wright of Passage program, currently running in Sydney and Geelong, encourages 15-to-18 year olds who are looking for learning opportunities outside of the classroom to develop the positive mindset needed to strengthen their schooling or to pursue other training and employment.
We are looking for volunteers to coach the participants as they undertake boat-building projects to gain workplace experience. Skills in boat construction, woodwork or a related trade are helpful, although of greater importance are the patience and communication skills needed to engage with a diverse group of young participants.
