Support Queensland

Please donate to our Northern Campaign

Your donation will provide volunteer-led sailing experiences for children living with disability from Southport to Townsville.

Making Waves in Queensland has been going from strength to strength, especially with the new set-up at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.

Northern Campaign has been running in Queensland since 2015.

Making Waves Volunteers from all over the country come together to deliver Winds of Joy sails to over 450 young Queenslanders who wouldn’t normally dream of having such wonderful adventures.

Your donation will help keep children safe, equip and insure the boat, and provide provisions for the yacht and crew.
The voyage will take Winds of Joy to Mackay, Townsville, Rosslyn Bay and Southport. These ports of call offer local children and adults living with disabilities the opportunity to experience the transformative effects of our Winds of Joy program.

Our dedicated Making Waves volunteers play an integral role in all our programs, and during the eight weeks of the Northern Campaign, their contributions transcend the ordinary. Beyond hosting regular Winds of Joy sails, they assist in preparing the yacht for departure, perform necessary repairs along the way, and endure cramped living conditions on board for several weeks at a time.

Please give generously so that kids in Queensland can experience Winds of Joy.
