Through teaching our participants to build Rainbow dinghies, the Wright of Passage program supports young people experiencing disadvantage to develop valuable life skills and trade-skills to prepare them to move into workplace training and employment.
With your help, we can expand the program to reach even more young people, offering them hands-on learning that opens doors to bright futures. Wright of Passage currently operates in Sydney and Geelong, with launches in Newcastle and Brisbane in 2025 and further hopes to reach a national scale including Hobart, Melbourne and elsewhere as possible.

The prize is a brand-new Rainbow Dinghy plus new accessories including all standing and running rigging, mainsail, jib, spinnaker and launching trolley, with a total value of AU$16 000, including GST (as valued at 20th November 2024). The winner will also receive membership to the Rainbow Dinghy Sailing Association Inc as well as an optional subsidy for transport costs up to $1800 upon request to the Association.
The ticket draw for the Prize will occur at 2:00pm AEDST on Monday 10th February 2025. The winner will be announced in City Hall, Hobart at the Australian Wooden Boat Festival 2025 and contacted by email and/or phone.
