We are proud to share that the Making Waves Foundation’s Wright of Passage program has been awarded Inclusion Program of the Year at the 2025 Victorian Sailing Awards, held on Friday 12th September at the prestigious Sandringham Yacht Club.
This award is a very special recognition of the tremendous efforts of our local staff and volunteers, who dedicate their time and expertise to ensure young Australians have the opportunity to progress beyond the classroom. Through Wright of Passage, participants gain not only sailing knowledge but also tangible, work-ready skills that help them transition into employment and community life with confidence and purpose.
Winning this award highlights the importance of inclusive pathways in sailing and beyond. We are incredibly grateful to our Victorian team for their commitment, and to our partners and supporters who make programs like Wright of Passage possible.
Together, we are proving that with the right support and opportunities, every young person can set a course toward success.
