Welcome to the March newsletter Breaking Waves.

This new look, Breaking Waves, will reach you every month so that you can keep in touch with all the Making Waves news. In this edition, you will meet two terrific young men who just won Boat Builders apprenticeships after completing Write of Passage with us. You will also meet a very enthusiastic volunteer from Geelong called Katie. When Katie joined us a year and a half ago, she hardly ever stepped onto a boat. She is a true sailor, completing the Melbourne to Geelong Passage Race. Well done, Kaitie; I told you we would make a sailor of you. There is no doubt that 2023 was our biggest year of expansion. So, if that was the case, then 2024 will be our year of consolidation, and I am delighted to say that part of the consolidation includes Wright of Passage being set up in Geelong. This is the first time the program has expanded beyond Sydney. Perhaps one of the best things to happen so far in 2024 is that we started programs at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. Congratulations to everyone involved in this amazing thing called Making Waves Julian Martin CEO
