Induction Stage 1: Completed the on-dock induction

Induction Stage 2: Completed the MOB induction

General Knowledge: Know correct terminology and understand instructions given concerning the sailing and day to day running of the boat

Ropework: Tie the following knots and know their correct use: figure-of-eight, clove hitch, bowline, round turn, two half hitches, and reef knot

Ropework: Know how to use winches, e.g. correct number of turns, use of self-tailers, keeping hands clear

Ropework: Handle ropes, including coiling, stowing, securing to cleats and bollards

Meteorology: Know forecasting services and where to obtain a forecast

Navigation: Keep an efficient lookout and alert helmsman to potential hazards

Engine: Can start and stop engine
